Shepherds College: The Best
Place to Be
By: Gloria Pavuk
Shepherds College is the best school to attend. Anyone who attends here will experience the
classes, residential life, and a place to grow in a relationship with Jesus
Christ. The staff and teachers here help
the students become more independent. In
the classes you learn about the Bible through Bible Survey and Personal Bible
Study. You learn about speech and how to
write paragraphs in Language Arts. Math
class helps you learn all different things from addition and multiplication to
making and reading graphs. Math skills
are important so you can use those skills to pay your bills or to work in a
place that involves good math skills. The best thing about taking these classes is
that you get to learn at your own pace. The teachers do not rush you and give you time
to take tests and quizzes.
Another great part
about this school is the Residential Life Program. Every week the students go grocery shopping, plan
their own menus, and write out their shopping lists. On the weekends, the students go on outings to
stores and to tourist attractions such as museums. Another activity the students get to
participate is Special Olympics. These
sports includes: bowling, basketball, swimming, snow-shoeing, and softball. Many of the students are involved in Special
Olympics this year. If people like
sports Special Olympics is the way to go! For many of the students, it gives them such
joy. They not only play the sport that
they love, they also represent God and Shepherds. When students go away to games or tournaments,
they have opportunities to be a good testimony because many of the teams they
compete against are not Christian. It is
a fun yet effective way to testify about Christ. Come and check out Shepherds College. You do not want to miss out on this awesome experience
of a lifetime!
