Dr. LaVerne Weber,
Shepherds staff member from 1976-2002, passed into the presence of the Lord on
March 26, 2009. Dr. Weber served Shepherds as cook, Director of Institutional
Services, college instructor, workshop instructor, men’s counselor and most
notably as Connie Jo’s dad. Connie Jo has lived at Shepherds since 1964.
LaVerne is pictured here with his daughter Jana Slye and her husband Dave at
our 2008 Staff Christmas Banquet. We will miss him dearly and thank God for his
enduring love and faithfulness to the ministry of Shepherds.
